Forum unveils its top agenda

TRANSPORT issues are top of the agenda at the next Blackburn East Employers' Forum to be held next month.

Mike Cliffe, senior transport planner at Blackburn with Darwen Council, will talk to business leaders about issues affecting the Whitebirk area, Shadsworth Business Park, Roman Road Business Park, Walker Park and Junction 5 of the M65 at the forum, which takes place on Thursday, July 3, at Blackburn Rovers Football Club from 11.45am to 2pm.

Other presentations at the forum will be given on developments in training and education from key institutions, including Blackburn College.

There will also be a presentation from Tony Ward, business development manager at The Manufacturing Institute on significant bottom line benefits for all types of manufacturing businesses.

The forum has been organised by Community and Business Partners, which is based at Enterprise House, Furthergate.
